NCAA College football rankings: December 8, 2024

This week’s Badger Bracketology composite Markov Chain rankings are available on the NCAAF rankings tab. The top 25 ranked teams are listed below.  Oregon returned to the top spot. Wisconsin finished the season ranked 64th.

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee seeded the playoff, the first playoff with 12 teams. “The 12 playoff participants consist of the five highest-ranked conference champions, plus the next seven highest-ranked teams. The four highest-ranked conference champions will be seeded one through four and receive a first-round bye.”  The teams in the College Football Playoff are in boldface below, and the top four teams are marked with a “bye.”
